Following an unimpressive turn in the earnings spotlight this morning, the shares of Sony Corp.

slumped to a new annual low of $37.26 today. They're now hovering fractionally above this nadir on a loss of 6%, extending their year-to-date slump of 25%... and, if this story on Yahoo!Games is any indication, feminists the world over are cheering the stock's plunge.
Apparently, some pro-female advocates are taking issue with Sony's new game, Fat Princess. Irate bloggers claim that the eponymous character is a jab at overweight people and women in general, with varying degrees of venom attached to the allegations. Over at Yahoo!, author Ben Silverman notes that the concept artist for Fat Princess is a "girl," and says, "Hmmm...hope the game's detractors don't mind eating a bit of crow."
I'll spare you my stock lecture on feminism and the gender wage gap, but there are a couple of salient points I need to make here. One: Anyone old enough and skilled enough to be a concept artist for a video game is probably a woman, or a female, and not so much a "girl." Two: "Girls" can be anti-feminist, too, Ben. Just ask Phyllis Schlafly.
