Bullish sentiment has increased as we head into the week, at least according to Ticker Sense's weekly Blogger Sentiment Poll. Heading into the week, 42.86% of the bloggers polled hold bullish feelings. A week ago, 38.1% of the bloggers polled felt bullish about the week. At the same time, bearish feelings increased. A week ago 28.57% of those polled were bearish. This number increased to 33.33% this week. The lone contraction was in the neutral camp, which dropped from 33.33% a week ago to this week's reading of 23.81%.

While 2 hours of trading do not mean that the bloggers are wrong about the week, it stands to note that the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA 12,962.6) has lost 95.5 points so far. The Dow has plunged in the wake of the Yahoo!/Microsoft news and yet another record high for crude, due to supply concerns. Crude has added nearly $4 to trade above $120 for the first time ever, as a result of supply disruptions in Nigeria and weakness in the American greenback. As for Nigerian supply concerns, rebels have claimed responsibility for a weekend attack on a Shell oil flow station in the southern region of the country, triggering a wave of black-gold buying.
