ABC Entertainment released its fall lineup earlier today, looking to establish a bit "more stability than it has had in the past" by keeping the same Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday lineups. ABC noted that the 3-month writers' strike impacted the company severely, as it was dominating at the time of the strike.
Returning shows include America's Funniest Home Videos, Boston Legal, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and Supernanny. In a true sign that the impending apocalypse is beginning, Ashton Kucher (yes, from MTV's Punk'd fame) is now producing a game show titled Opportunity Knocks. The show will feature a traveling truck that sets up on a family's lawn and features prizes that the family can win in full view of their friends, neighbors, and local cat burglars. Shows missing in the new schedule are Notes from the Underbelly, October Road, and Men in Trees. The big news is that the very popular NBC sit-com Scrubs will be joining ABC in midseason, along with Lost, The Bachelor, and According to Jim.
