As an individual who hardly remembers how she survived before the purchase of her beloved iPhone, I will admit to being even more impressed with my shiny communication device. According to a Kraft Foods Inc. (KFT: sentiment, chart, options) press release, the firm is releasing a product to use with Apple Inc.'s (AAPL: sentiment, chart, options) iPhone and iPod touch. The release boasts, "users can now experience a revolutionary way to plan and prepare delicious meals.

Basically, the application allows users (or iPhone addicts) to "browse over 7,000 recipes by categories, preparation time, and healthy living." Additionally, the application offers a Recipe of the Day, along with cooking video demos, and a recipe box feature.

I can only guess the recipes deal mostly with Kraft foods... I picture recipes similar to the ones found at this site, using ingredients such as Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Oscar Mayer Smoked Ham, Kraft Shredded Cheddar Cheese, Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese, and/or Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing.

I wasn't surprised that Kraft would find another way to advertise, but that it would be a price tag on the application. (For those unfamiliar with the applications available to the iPhone and iPod touch, they vary in price from free to a few dollars.) I went to check out the application, but, as I find myself to be an excellent cook, I wasn't about to spend 99 cents to let Kraft try to woo me into purchasing their products.

I'm already tempted enough by shiny things, note the iPhone.
