The words "Black Friday" have taken on a more ominous meaning today. According to The Wall Street Journal, early this morning, an employee at a Long Island-based Wal-Mart

was killed after being trampled by a gang of greedy shoppers. He was 34 years old.
Furthermore, reports indicate that at least 3 other people were injured in the accident including a 28-year-old pregnant female. "It was like rush-hour traffic around the malls this morning," Nassau County Police Department spokesman Michael Aronsen told the WSJ.
At last check, WMT is trading with a deficit of about 1.55% from Wednesday's close, flirting with the 55.80 level. From a longer-term perspective, the stock is currently attempting to combat resistance from its 10-month moving average a trendline the equity hasn't closed a month beneath since October 2007.
